Reference Platform for pre-production design, prototyping and evaluation


   

Vision Microsystems’ TSC695 reference design is a evaluation board (TSC695EVB) that enables early development.The TSC695EVB offers a solid platform for both hardware and software engineers to use in evaluating and prototyping designs that closely parallel their final applications.The TSC695EVB also provides a live target on which to begin developing and testing application code.

 The TSC695 includes on chip an Integer Unit (IU), a Floating Point Unit (FPU), a Memory Controller and a DMA Arbiter. For Real Time applications, the TSC695 offers a high security Watch Dog,  two Timers, an Interrupt Controller, Parallel and Serial interfaces. Fault tolerance is supported using specific parity on internal/external buses and an EDAC on the external data bus. The design is highly testable with the support an internal and boundary scan through JTAG interface.

This board is based on the TSC695, a ROM space, a SRAM space, Several extension connectors and a large range of memory mapping produces an high flexibility to the evaluation or the demonstration.

Either one 8-bit boot-flash (up to 512K-byte) or 40-bit boot-flash (up to 2M-byte)Up to 4M bytes of code using one SIMM module can be mounted as ROM expansion.

one bank of 40-bit SRAM for 2 Mbytes of data/code each.Up to 4M bytes of data/code using one SIMM modules can be mounted as RAM expansion.

2 UARTs

A 8-segment LED is connected to the I/O port, some LEDs are used to display the status.

External Interrupt

2 expansion connectors are provided. P1 and P2 are reserved for system expansion (processor emulation, DMA, exchange RAM, ...).
